3 Autumn activities on the ground, in the water and in the air.

Activity days out in the UK don't have to be restricted to the typical walks around town or round the neighbourhood, we're blessed with spectacular countryside, coasts and cliffs to explore and enjoy and here are three of our favourites you and the family can enjoy on the ground, in the water and in the air.

Family Wildside Experience at Blackdown Hills, Devon.

This experience really is an all in one day of enjoyment, you'll start with a welcome introductions and a hot drink/snack at our basecamp before heading to the woods and fields. Here you can get stuck into an “un-nature trail”, blindfolded walk, nature scavenger hunt, orienteer, sensory activities and quiz as well as Archery, fire-lighting, river-dipping and hands-on with some of their animals too. A jam packed day of fun and frolicking outdoors.

Snorkel Safari in the Deep Blue at Plymouth, Devon

Ocean Snorkel Safaris take place weekly in Plymouth Sound National Marine Park from Mount Batten Beach organised by The Ocean Conservation Trust, a fantastic charity who know that to protect nature, you have to start with people. These immersive sessions are aimed at those who want to take their first steps into snorkelling and explore the wonders that live beneath the waves of the UK.

Adventures in the Vertical World at Bosigran in West Cornwall or Dartmoor.

Ok so, specifically this activity isn't 'in' the air but you will certainly be surrounded by a lot of it. Climb Cornwall will take you on a truly vertical journey where you can develop and grow your skills to become an independently competent climber. Your team have a wealth of experience in delivering tailor-made adventures for all abilities, and in particular they have specialist experience in working with people with disabilities and impairments.

So as you can see, whether you want to get wet, explore new heights or keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, there are plenty of exciting ways to explore the amazing natural landscapes that the UK has to offer.
