Why this accommodation is great for you
The space
The large wooden terrace is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning countyside views. Great for watching the sunrise and moonrise and all the wild birds and animals that live at Holyford.
By the yurt there is a campfire circle, earth oven ( perfect for pizza / bread making!) and a picnic table. 50m up the path, is exclusive use of a compost toilet (loo with a view!) and handwashing sink.
200m down the path through the wildflower area there is Buzzard kitchen and hut. The hut is a extra living space with a double futon, books, games and maps. There are craft materials available for drawing postcards and making natural crafts.
Behind the hut is Buzzard shower with hot water from our biomass boiler and solar systems.
Buzzard kitchen has a 4 ring gas cooker and electric oven, a fridge and a sink. There is a table with 4 chairs (we can provide an extra chair if needed)
There is often seasonal surplus homegrown produce available from our smallholding.
We have a large wild swimming pond on site (fenced and gated) that you can use for swimming, or paddling around (we have a few kayaks and boards you are welcome to use)
We have a woodfired hot tub available to hire. It is £50 to hire for exclusive use day and evening. No chemicals used and we fill up with fresh spring water before each session. We will fill and heat up the tub ready for you to relax and enjoy.
Message to book ASAP during your stay as booked on a first come basis with our other yurt listing- Kingfisher yurt.
A field away from us is Holyford woods an ancient woodland nature reserve and lots of great footpaths that link into the East Devon way and the South West Coast path.
Guests are also welcome to use our private 25 acre re-wilding woodland a beautiful 30 minute hike away. Its great for building dens and exploring nature.
There is the breathtaking Jurassic coast very close, with all its varied beaches. Favourite ones are Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Charmouth and many more! Great for fossil hunting, wild swimming, Stand Up Paddle boarding (with SUP boards and kayaks available to hire. There are also great beach saunas nearby at Branscombe beach and Seatown beach.

Other things to note
Holyford is a wonderful place to explore, but as with any smallholding there are areas that carry risk. We are happy for you to explore and enjoy the smallholding, but please ensure children have adequate supervision and do not climb on wood piles or enter areas marked private (eg tool shed)
We have a trampoline, swings a slide and ropes courses that we are happy for children to enjoy, but ask you to sign a disclaimer when you arrive and to follow safety guidelines.
