Alpaca Trekking

Come be at one with nature and interact with animals! Wetley Moor Alpacas hosts the most incredible alpaca trekking experience that is suitable for the whole family. If you are local or visiting we can guarantee you’ll love what we’ve got planned for you. We offer a 60 minute experience trekking with our alpacas across the beautiful Wetley Moor Common learning about, meeting and walking our animals, with plenty of photo opportunities. 

Join us at our farm for a brief health and safety talk before you get up close and acquainted with your alpaca for the trek. We offer a brief introductory period to ensure you feel totally comfortable with our alpacas. You will be located in our secure arena so no worries if you accidentally let go of the lead rope! This is a great time for alpaca related questions that we will be more than happy to answer. Once you are fully comfortable walking your alpaca we will head out onto Wetley Moor- the ever changing landscape for our 45 minute Trek! This is just under a mile in distance but we walk at an alpaca pace which is usually slow and steady!

Equipment needed: Weather appropriate clothing please! We are outdoors so dress according to the forecast with sensible shoes.
