Introduction
How often do we miss the smaller details in nature… the mauve and violet shades in a bluebell flower, intricate veins in an ivy leaf, the camouflage of a woodcock, the rich coconut scent of the yellow gorse flowers? A nature retreat at Wildside Experience will encourage you to become more aware of your senses.
The experience will start with fresh coffee, tea or hot chocolate and homemade cake. Richard and Alison will show you some interesting things that you could look out for, which will set the scene for your visit.
We will then guide you on a nature walk – pointing out what is going on in nature and showing you how to identify some of the various birds, insects, animal signs and plants. We will then lead you to your own peaceful spot to be still and listen, to draw or to write a poem – it’s for you to decide how to use this special time!
Finally you will return to a campfire for more coffee and a chat before departure!
