Introduction

You never forget your first kayaking experience. Imagine the echo of your voice as you enter a smugglers cave, the quick beat of your heart as you join the natural gentle rapids, the cry of the seabirds swooping over the dramatic cliffs, crags and caverns, the excitement that you feel when encountering your first seal - can you feel it? The call of the ocean?

Enjoying the local area whilst helping ensure its protection is their passion at Newquay Activity Centre. The team pioneered an educational version of the popular kayaking tours, with a specific focus on the area’s stunning marine habitats.

The team have developed the kayaking routes in collaboration with the Cornwall Wildlife Trust to provide the instructors with an in-depth knowledge of the area’s flora and fauna. Together you’ll discover the local seal colonies, lobsters, seabirds, crabs and smaller wildlife that call the Cornish coastlines home.
