Introduction
Somewhat between walking and rock climbing is where you'll find scrambling. A journey on the mountain, you need a safety rope and you reach amazing places. The Lakes Mountaineer provides this course to introduce you the necessary skills for you to eventually go scrambling independently.
There are three scrambling grades:
Grade 1: Walking on steep rocks where you need your hands
Grade 2: Hands are needed almost the whole time and you'll be roped for a lot of the scramble
Grade 3: Equally to grade 2, but includes small rock climbing sections.
