Introduction
Lake District Mountaineering offers instruction and skills courses in Rock Climbing, Mountaineering & Hill Walking, covering Winter Skills and Navigation skills. We also offer guided days out, private and bespoke and small ratio - in rock climbing, mountaineering and hill walking. Whether you wish to complete a rock climb or walk up Scafell Pike - LDM has you covered. LDM have a range of activities suitable for families and groups - whether you wish to Rock Climbing, go Abseiling or jump in the water and do some Ghyll Scrambling/Canyoning - we have the right amount of adventure for you!

Facilities and additional information
Equipment needed: Crampons & axes provided You will need to wear suitable outdoor clothing and have appropriate mountain footwear (B1/B2 boots - these are rigid to take crampons)
Weather: Lightning & high water levels - most activities are possible in the wind and rain. We can always change venues as necessary to suit the weather conditions on the day
Food & drink: Local shops and small supermarkets in Ambleside or Keswick
Parking: We are mobile operation - we meet on site for each activity - this is a pre agreed location dependent on the experience. Some activities have a fixed venue - some are flexible so we can use the appropriate venues on the day
Toilets: Public toilets are located in car parks we use (National Trust car parks)
Pricing: Discover Rock Climbing - 1:8 ratio - up to 3 hours - 1 or 2 people: £120, +£30pp thereafter Abseil Adventure - 1:8 ratio - up to 3 hours - 1 or 2 people: £120, +£30pp thereafter
