Introduction
Tuckey away in the heart of our Estate is 5'000 acres of lake frontage, woodland and parkland, as well as our bushcraft base where we love to welcome those seeking an outdoor experience.
We run sessions in a relaxed way, for an informative and fun environment. After an instructor introduces you to the experience, you'll get to head to the woods whilst discussing the history and origins of bushcraft techniques. You'll focus on shelter, fire and food, three main essentials. You'll build a shelter and make a fire to boil the kettle for hot drinks and to toast marshmallows. We'll talk about tracking and how to identify the wildlife in our local woodland and we'll purify water. There's something magical about outdoor living and nothing makes us happier than sharing the natural beauty of the estate with guests.
Graythwaite boasts many other awesome activities, both land and water=based from off-road driving to archery or kayaking. Make a true adventure of it and try something else whilst you're here too!
