Introduction

We love to get our hands dirty in the woods and getting to grips with outdoor skills. Joining us on these excursions, depending on the time of year and season, will involve all kinds of fun activities, such as water purification, shelter building,  wood carving/whittling, fire building and camp crafts. We will also take part in foraging and teach you how to identify plants and how they can be used, as well as identification of tracks and signs.

In our family sessions, we will cook some tasty treats over the fire and give charcoal making a go. At the end of all this exciting activity, we will feast on soup and our foraged goodies!

We offer 4 variations of our bushcraft courses: Family Bushcraft, 2 Hour Bushcraft and Foraging, Bushcraft Half Day Course and a Bushcraft, Foraging and Campfire Course. A great selection to choose from!

Facilities and additional information

Equipment needed: Bring clothes suitable for the seasons and the weather on the day. That means full waterproofs and walking/welly boots. Chucking on some old clothes is best due to things like brambles and fire lighting.

Weather: Most of the courses will run in rain (under cover) or shine, if on rare occasions there are strong winds we may have to adapt the course and operate in a different location, in this case we would not include fire lighting.

Parking: There is pay and display parking in the National Trust Car Park at Middle Beach.

Food & Drink: Bring a mug (for tea), snacks and a drink. If we go foraging, rest assured we'll be eating what we find!
