Introduction

BEE Adventures is aiming to increase participation in outdoor activities, they offer full day mountain walks with a professional guide and transport included.

Scafell Pike is England’s highest mountain, it has invariably been described as exhilarating, beautiful and breath-taking. BEE adventures tours walk at a steady pace making sure that you get to take in all the views… with plenty of water and snack breaks! Join a group of like minded people, who will drive, park and guide you all the way.

We start the day meeting at 8am in Manchester City Centre (Close to the centre’s main bus and train terminal).

After a quick introduction you'll set straight off to the base of the mountain, stopping for a refreshment break along the way.

Once at the base of the mountain our guides will run through some helpful tips and a quick icebreaker, before setting of on the adventure up the mountain.

The walk is very laid back, during which you will be stopping plenty of times to take pictures… especially at the summit!

Then for a gradual decent back down the mountain, back onto the bus for the journey back to Manchester and a well earned rest.

Facilities and additional information

Equipment needed: Essentail:

  • Backpack (20-30 litre)
  • Waterproof Jacket and pants
  • Walking Boots/Shoes
  • Walking trousers/shorts/leggings (No jeans)
  • Fleece
  • Gloves
  • Hat
  • Personal First Aid/medication

Extra:

- Phone with camera (or just camera)

Weather: BEE Adventures keep a constant check on the weather leading up to the walk, they will cancel if the weather is extreme.

Parking: Manchester City Centre has plenty of parking available, but we recommend public transport to the centre.

Food and Drink: You must bring Lunch (Sandwiches, Snacks, Minimum 1 Litre of Water)

Toilets: There are toilets available at the meeting point in Manchester, service stop along the way and at the bottom of the mountain before we start the walk.
