It's an ideal spot to watch birds up close, including spring and autumn migrating birds, and winter flocks of waders, ducks and geese feeding and resting, from the comfort of the Lookout hide.

- Toilets: Nearest public toilets at the Quay in Topsham (RADAR key) and for patrons at Darts Farm where there is an RSPB shop, both 0.75 mile (1 km) away
- Parking : The nearest parking is at the Council Pay & Display car park at Holman Way (75 spaces) and the Quay (24 spaces). 'Orange badge' adjacent reserved parking space available
